CORNELIUS ‘NEELS’ ROODT

Cornelius Roodt or ‘Neels’ as he is better known, is based in Potchefstroom in the North West Province of South Africa.
He has been involved on the Board of AFL South Africa since 2004, previously serving as a Director of Footy South Africa (1997 – 2004), in its very early days.
Neels holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and is currently General Manager for the McArthur Athletic Stadium in Potchefstroom.
Prior to that appointment, Neels was the long-term Sport Coordinator for the North West Department of Education, a role which has provided a wealth of event experience, across a range of different sporting codes, for many years.
Neels is a keen cyclist who enjoys the outdoors.
